Why KORA Chooses 240 GSM Cotton
At KORA, we believe a T-shirt should feel good before it ever looks good.
That is why we chose 240 GSM, 100% cotton as the foundation for our first collection.
What does 240 GSM actually mean?
GSM stands for grams per square metre. It is a measure of fabric weight.
A higher GSM generally means a heavier, more substantial fabric. But weight alone doesn't make a T-shirt better. The fabric still needs to feel comfortable, hold its shape, and work as an everyday piece.
For KORA, 240 GSM gives us that balance.
Heavyweight, without being difficult to wear.
Our tees are designed with an oversized fit and substantial cotton fabric, giving them structure while keeping them practical enough for everyday wear.
We wanted something that could be worn repeatedly, styled simply, and still feel like a proper piece of clothing rather than a thin basic.
Why 100% cotton?
Because the fabric matters.
Cotton is breathable, comfortable against the skin, and familiar. For our first products, we wanted to build around a material that makes sense for everyday wear rather than adding complexity for the sake of it.
Quality is the starting point.
KORA isn't trying to make the cheapest T-shirt available.
We are also not interested in making heavyweight clothing just to call it premium.
The goal is simpler:
Make better everyday clothing, keep the quality high, and make it accessible.
Our first pieces are built around that idea.
240 GSM. 100% cotton. Oversized fit.
No unnecessary complication.
Just KORA.
Built for what moves you.
